Sippy

Ella is in LOVE with her sippy cups! The sippy cup is the highlight of every meal. She even grabs on to it and puts it in her mouth (she hasn't grasped the concept of tilting it back to get the water out of it, though). She will not hold her bottle, but the beloved sippy cup goes right in! I'm not sure if it's the cup or the water she is so enamored with.

Unfortunately, she is also intrigued by the camera so sneaking a picture of her holding the cup in her mouth is next to impossible.

Mitch turns 21!

The day before Ella turned 7 months, her daddy turned 21 (again)! In his honor, Cammie threw a Birthday Beer Tasting Party (thanks Jen and Zak for hosting!). We had a GREAT time and if you ever want to host one, let me know and I'll give you a "how-to". We'll definitely be doing it again! And yes, those are Star Wars decorations (hey, you only turn 21 once!). That keg you see is actually a keg of root beer!

Seven Months Old!

Yes, we are bad, bad parents and are using a walker with Ella. Not to help her walk, but because she likes to stand up and play. I promise NOT to leave her in it for hours on end and turn her brain to mush.

Ella and the Cats

Ella likes to keep mommy in sight at all times. So when I need to be in the kitchen, the only place I can set her so she can see me is at the doorway of the kitchen. On this particular day, I forgot to remove ALL the cat toys and the cats' birdies were still sitting in arm's reach. So Ella got a hold of one and in trying to get in her mouth, was swinging it around. Well! The kitties had no idea that this smelly, screaming lump could PLAY with them!! Violet stuck around and jumped over and around Ella trying to catch that birdie!

Family Pictures

And so they have arrived... the proofs of family pictures taken over Christmas in Michigan. The baby has an ear infection (that we had not yet figured out that was why she was so cranky) and yet, it's the 7 year old who seems to hate the camera. It is so nice when they are little and enjoy having their pictures taken... yet it lasts for so little time!

And I had to share this picture of our adorable niece and cousin, Lissy! Isn't she just too cute for words?!?! Looks just like her mommy and grandma Eileen!

Sitting Bull

Look who is sitting! These were taken last week and Ella is much better at it now. But she can't quite figure out how to get OUT of the sitting position. Yesterday, she kept trying to put her down on the blanket (she was getting tired) and got very mad!
