And She's Off!

We said good-bye to Sarah tonight. The days we say good-bye are hands down the hardest part of our "blended" family. It is not easy having a family member come and go -- and having 6 months in between! We have different expectations, different rules, different rhythm to our family and it takes sometime for everyone to adjust. Just when you do, it's time to say good-bye again. I am really hoping things change in the future, but for now we said good-bye until Christmas. It's hard to believe that the next time we see Sarah she'll have a new baby sibling!

We put Ella to bed before Sarah and her dad left to go hang out with Sarah's step-dad (who is in town to pick her up). It's been 45 minutes and Ella is still asking "Ware-wah? Night night?" Sigh. Tomorrow is not going to be fun, but we'll survive.
