Mexican Train Dominoes

When I was about 6 months pregnant with Ella, a friend taught me how to play Mexican Train Dominoes. I am not really a game person, but I LOVE THIS GAME! I had every intention of waiting for my contractions to get strong enough to go to the hospital with Ella while playing this game. Ella had other ideas.

So last night I taught Daddy and Sarah how to play. I wasn't sure Sarah would get the strategy, but as usual she proved me wrong. She even beat us a few times! While Sarah may struggle with reading, she has a VERY analytical mind and is able to do whatever riddles or puzzles we put in front of her.

If you haven't played, I would highly recommend a set for your house!

Oh I love this game! My parents play it often, and our family played it last Christmas Eve. It is so much fun!

Well, we'll plug you right in when you are here in a few weeks, then!

Okay this game is great!! It is so much fun! I am glad you like it so much. We usually play every couple months with another couple and we have a great time!

Do you stay up all night playing?? Sarah's bed time is 9 PM and twice now we've missed it because we were engrossed in a game! (We usually play after Ella hits the sack at 8 PM).

He who has drawn the 12-12 must initiate the first move for the first game. The starting player must put his tile at the middle of the table. There are 13 games all in all. The next game is started by the player with the 11-11 and so on. If no one has the domino needed to initiate the game, all of the players shall draw from the boneyard until the domino is found.
