Our Little Cadet

This weekend Mitch and I are heading to Pasadena, California for the Drum Corps International (DCI) Music Games. This show is the end of the season for the Drum Corps. When Mitch was in undergrad he marched with The Cadets, a DCI corps. In honor of his corps, we all got tee shirts -- even Ella. Since she is staying home with Aunt Michelle, she gets to wear her tee shirt today.

Practicing Marching

I love DCI!

And I am going to the Rose Bowl for the first time in my life! As a member of the Van Buren family, I am a devout fan of the University of Michigan and the Big Ten thus I have been watching the Rose Bowl game on TV since I was born. I am very excited to be going to the stadium! Someday soon we'll make it over for the game and parade.

5 Thoughts From Others:

When are they going to let bass players march in the drum corp, dad? I'll probably have to make it out their myself to see that. :)

We saw some girls with t-shirts on that said:
Kiss me
Love me
Hug me
But don't touch
MY BASS

Michelle thinks she is just starting to look like me, too!

Dad wanted to get 1 in every size. Too bad we couldn't find where they sold them!
